On 14 and 15 September 2019, CERN opened its doors to the public for two exceptional days. These Open Days allowed 75,000 visitors to discover both surface and underground installations, and to meet the men and women who work with the technologies and discoveries of tomorrow.

Accessible free of charge, 160 activities spread over nine sites brought visitors to the heart of the Laboratory. From parking lots to information tents and visit points, about 3,000 volunteers welcomed, guided, informed and shared their knowledge and passion with the visitors, bringing them into direct contact with the science of today and tomorrow.
