To mark the 56th anniversary of the first human landing on the moon, CERN invites you to Science Gateway on Saturday 19 July 2025, from 4pm to midnight, for STELLAR, a summer science festival blending inspiring talks, hands-on workshops, children's activities and outdoor music, in a friendly atmosphere open to all.
Organised as part of the International Cosmic Ray Conference (ICRC) 2025, STELLAR is a unique opportunity to discover how the science of space, particles and astroparticles are shedding light on our understanding of the universe and preparing the world of tomorrow.
Throughout the afternoon and evening, the public will be able to attend captivating talks in French and English, given by leading speakers from the world of science and space, including Nobel Prize winners and astronauts. These talks will cover fascinating subjects such as the origin of the Universe, the search for exoplanets, the instruments of the future for exploring the cosmos, and the challenges of space exploration. The event will also highlight the research being carried out at CERN, in particular on the particles that travel through space and help us to better understand the immensity that surrounds us.
The full programme will be announced shortly here
In the meantime, book your free place and get ready for an evening of discovery, inspiration and wonder at the heart of science.
