Step by step registration

1 – Sign in to your CERN account

2 – Join the CERN Outreach events volunteers platform: Read the conditions, tick the box and click on the “I join as a volunteer” icon.

3 – Create your Volunteer Profile: Fill in the “Your personal data” and “Your top 3 languages levels” fields.

4 – Join the event you want to participate in

  • On the left sidebar, click on "Events"
  • Select the event you want to participate in and click on "I want to participate to this event"

5 – Complete your checklist!

  • Answer the "Questions on this event" ("Events" tab, left sidebar)
  • Define your availability ("Your availibility" tab, left sidebar)
  • Other parameters can appear in the checklist. If so, follow the instructions to complete it.

Frequently asked questions

Will I receive a confirmation email once my registration is complete?

No. Your registration is complete as long as your “checklist is complete”. We will come back to you when you will be assigned to a task.

How to update or cancel my registration?

Please note that your registration is a commitment to participate. Availability changes are very difficult to manage in such a large event. ​

You can update or cancel your registration via the CERN Outreach Events Volunteers platform. Please, do not abuse this possibility, and contact us by email whenever you absolutely need to make a change after you have already been assigned to a role.
