Programme

In the magnificent gardens of Château de Voltaire, many stands, workshops, exhibitions and conferences are organized on the occasion of the Fête de la Science from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday 10 October 2020. Full programme.

  • Science show "The mysteries of antimatter"

Tasks

Host activities, interact with visitors, help set up and dismantle CERN stands.

Volunteering shifts

  • Shift 1 : 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Shift 2 : 1:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Conditions of registration

  • All CERN personnel, no matter the contract (MPEs, MPAs, Official CERN guides, ENTC, TEMC), aged 18 and over.
  • Minimum B2 level in French is a must for this event aimed at the local community 
  • Mandatory presence (by videoconference) at the briefing session

Dress code and meal

  • You will receive a black "standard model" t-shirt to wear during the event (unless you already have one and agree to use it)
  • The organizers will provide meal vouchers

Briefing sessions

2 briefing sessions will be organized on videoconference.

  • Tuesday 6 October 15:00-16:00
  • Thursday 8 October 11:00-12:00

It is mandatory to follow at least one session.
Date and link to the sessions will be communicated once your registration is confirmed.

COVID-19

The organizers prevention plan has been reviewed and approved by HSE. It will be communicated to registered volunteers during the briefing sessions.
Vulnerable persons should refrain from registering as volunteers.
CERN participation has been authorized by Director for International Relations.
Depending on the sanitary situation and applicable rules, CERN may cancel its participation to the event.
