You’re a female student aged 15 and above? You would like to learn how to build your own website? Take part in Django Girls, a free programming workshop exclusively for girls – with no fuss and glitter!

IdeaSquare, CERN’s ideas hub, will welcome about thirty future programmers on Friday 23 March evening and Saturday 24 March all day. Highly motivated female mentors will initiate you into programming in a studious yet relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Deadline for applications is 2 March and there are still places; sign up on https://djangogirls.org/geneva/!

Why an exclusively feminine workshop? Simply because women are often (un)consciously under-represented in IT and, as a diversity actor, offering them this opportunity seems logical to CERN.

Django is a free and open source web application framework, written in Python programming language. The former helps its users to develop websites faster and easier. The organisation is entirely volunteer-run.
