Visit CERN with your Class
Would you like to introduce your students to CERN? There are several options available depending on their age.
Do you teach an elementary school class?
For elementary school classes, we recommend booking a tour of the Science Gateway exhibits. This option is particularly well-suited for young students and will generally make it easier for you to find an available time slot for your class. The schedule for the coming weeks is available online.
Please feel free to let us know you’re coming by emailing education.locale@cern.ch. Depending on the activities scheduled for the day of your visit and availability, we’ll do our best to offer an additional activity, such as a lab workshop or a science show.
Do you teach a high school class?
We recommend that high school classes combine a guided tour or lab workshop with a visit to the exhibitions.
Since guided tours and workshops are in high demand from schools around the world, we recommend booking well in advance (registration opens 9 months in advance—please note that slots fill up very quickly) to increase your chances of securing a time slot and activities that meet your needs.
However, it’s always possible to organize a visit on very short notice if you’re interested solely in the Science Gateway exhibitions, as the exhibition is open to the general public. The schedule for the coming weeks is online.
