Location: Sergy – Saint-Genis-Pouilly
Point 2 of the LHC, in Sergy, hosts the ALICE experiment.

Point 2 of the LHC, in Sergy, is ALICE’s wonderland. The ALICE experiment, whose site borders the commune of Saint-Genis-Pouilly, is studying a state of matter that existed in the very first moments of the universe, just after the Big Bang. This state is recreated on an infinitesimal scale when lead ions are collided in the LHC.
